We were accepted as a member of Community Energy England on May 6th 2021.
James Gladding, a member of our Executive Committee, is our registered contact with CEE. CEE writes: "Thank you for signing Sustainable Calne as a Community member of Community Energy England. We are looking forward to working with you on promoting the community energy movement and developing a strong network of practitioners and supporters. I have attached a document that gives information on your membership with Community Energy England and ways in which you can engage with us and the wider network. Please do familiarise yourself with this document, our Terms and Conditions, Articles and Bye-Laws, as your membership requires you to adhere to them. We are pleased to offer temporary free membership to groups such as yours who are first getting established. We are keen to support new and small organisations as much as possible, however, we ask you to let us know when you are able to become a paying member, as even the smallest contribution will help us support the sector. We ask that groups with a turnover fee of £20k pay a membership fee, which we will revisit on your next renewal date. Your membership will be due for renewal on 1 June 2022 and we will contact you a few weeks before with further details. You can find more about our renewals in our Articles and Terms and Conditions. We look forward to working with you and growing the community energy network together."
